Separate interpolation from speed editing

Speed editing changes playback timing. Interpolation estimates motion between frames, so review playback speed and output frame settings separately.

Review difficult boundaries

Watch crossing objects, fingers and scene cuts closely. Complex motion can produce unusual edges in estimated frames.

02 / Follow these steps

Follow these steps

  1. Choose a source section with visible motion.

  2. Review the interpolation tool and output settings in the app.

  3. Process a short section and watch it at normal and slower playback.

  4. Check object boundaries and scene cuts before keeping the result.

03 / Try this sequence

Try this sequence

In a camera pan, review the moving background. With a moving person, watch the hands and face boundaries. Do not judge an entire result from a single easy scene.

Before you export

  • Are crossing objects free of distracting artifacts?
  • Have you reviewed both sides of scene cuts?
  • Is playback speed what you intended?

Frequently asked questions

Is interpolation the same as stabilization?

No. Increasing the frame count does not guarantee removal of camera shake. Interpolation and stabilization are different operations.
